Chapter 16 The Abyss

Emilia shut her eyes as she allowed tears to roll down her cheeks in humiliation!

She felt that she was now a mere object. An object that could be watched by others.

She even felt the impulse of wanting to kill herself. 𝓫𝓭𝓸𝓋．𝓬𝓸𝓂

“HAHAHAHAHA…”

George Johnson laughed, “You should know that with my character, I will never force myself upon you.

“But, I really hate how you look now!

“I can give you the money, but I cannot give it for free!”

He really wanted this woman who was right in front of him, and now, he was one finger’s touch away from her.

But, this was not what he wanted!

The hidden meaning behind what he said caused Emilia to tremble, “Mr. Johnson, I…..I’m not ready for it yet…”

To be a prostitute?

She would rather kill herself.

Although she had been suffering all these years, she never thought of getting anything in exchange for her body.

This was something extremely difficult for her to agree with. It was impossible for her to agree to it!

“Your pitiful look showing you are forced to keep yourself mute is indeed a blow to me!”

George Johnson took a good look at the beautiful face that was inches away from him as if it was a priceless treasure.

She looked pale with a little fear, hesitation, and even anger!

It instantly satisfied his sick mind.

Then, he pulled out a check from his pocket and threw it on the ground but immediately stepped on it with his leather shoes. An evil smile appeared on his face as he said, “This is a hundred thousand dollars. You can use them anytime but you have to remember.

“You will have to pay for what you are getting. I am not going to give it to you for free!”

Emilia, who was being stared at by an obscene pair of eyes, felt as if she was just a walking body with no soul. Her red lips trembled as the very last stubbornness in her disappeared.

She got down on her knees, bent forward, and cleaned his leather shoes with the corner of her shirt.

“This wouldn’t be enough!”

The corner of his lips was curved upwards. He picked up the glass of wine on the table and poured it over Emilia’s head.

Emilia didn’t hide from it as well and allowed herself to be drenched in red wine from top to bottom.

George Johnson knew that he had succeeded in breaking the last piece of her pride, and he would be able to get his hands on her sooner or later. However, he still said to her, “You can take this money now, but you have to sign an agreement.

“If you can’t return the full amount to me in seven days, you will have to marry me!

“Listen carefully! You are to marry me!

“Even when you become a prostitute and even when that traitor you raised deemed you as a dirty woman.

“I, George Johnson, have never despised you for it and am willing to marry you gloriously!

“This is because I love you! Do you understand?”

The expression on George Johnson’s face was starting to turn hideous, and he got so emotional that his entire body was shaking. He screamed at Emilia, “I am the only one who treats you sincerely!

“Only me!”

He loved Emilia.

This was not questionable!

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been so mad at her!

When the contract that had been prepared earlier was brought out to Emilia, she bit her lips so hard that there was blood coming out of it.

Oliver Walker…..you were the one who abandoned me first!

You were heartless and cruel. I had been protecting my dignity for you for the past 8 years and even raised Olivia on my own no matter how hard it was. I already did everything I could!

She knew what it meant once she signed these papers!

She only had seven days. How would she be able to get a hundred thousand by then?

Plus, with Olivia’s condition, the cost of it would only get higher once she got the surgery done.

By then, the sky-high medical bill would be a pitless abyss. She would have no other choice but to look for help from George Johnson.

This was also why George Johnson was willing to give her the money in the first place.

“I’ll…..sign it…..”

Emilia was crying blood out of her eyes as she picked up the pen and signed her own name.

What would she be proud of now?

She was no longer the Goddess of Colorado!
